About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed EYFS Lead to join Loddon Infant School. This is an exciting leadership opportunity for an experienced Early Years practitioner to lead and further develop high-quality EYFS provision across the school.
The successful candidate will initially work out of class during the summer term, with dedicated leadership release time. A TLR 2a is attached to this post. The role also includes deputising for the Senior Leadership Team, contributing to whole-school leadership and strategic direction.
You will oversee our Early Years provision, including Nursery (Lower Nursery, Upper Nursery and Pre-Reception) and Reception, supporting children aged 2-5 in a nurturing learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership for EYFS across the school
- Lead and monitor high-quality teaching, learning and assessment
- Develop and implement the EYFS curriculum in line with statutory guidance
- Use assessment to improve outcomes for all children
- Support staff through coaching and professional development
- Work closely with senior leaders to support whole-school priorities
- Deputise for SLT when required and promote strong safeguarding practice
The Successful Candidate Will:
- Hold QTS with strong EYFS experience
- Have a sound knowledge of the EYFS Framework, Development Matters, Birth to 5 Matters and Bold Beginnings
- Demonstrate understanding of child-led curriculum and parental engagement
- Show leadership skills or the potential to lead
- Have experience supporting disadvantaged and vulnerable pupils
- Be passionate, collaborative and ambitious for all learners
