EYFS Lead job summary

Are you passionate about giving young children the very best start? We are excited to offer a full‑time opportunity for an EYFS Lead who can champion excellent Early Years practice, inspire colleagues, and help our youngest learners thrive from their very first day with us.

The new Early Years Lead will:

  • Demonstrate a strong track record of delivering high-quality Early Years practice
  • Show an uncompromising commitment to ensuring safeguarding, outstanding teaching and promoting well-being for every child
  • Lead the development of EYFS to ensure excellent outcomes for children in Pre-School and Reception
  • Lead curriculum design, planning, teaching and assessment in Early Years
  • Lead, support and inspire the EYFS teachers and support staff
  • Develop, implement and review policies and processes to ensure alignment with statutory framework and whole school projects
  • Be an excellent role model to inspire and motivate all
  • Contribute to whole school leadership as part of SLT
  • Be reflective in their own practice and leadership
  • Act as DDSL for the school
