Job Title: Learning Support Assistants x2

We are looking to appoint x2 passionate and dedicated teaching assistants to join our academy, to support pupils within our EYFS and to ensure that every child succeeds.  

There are x2 roles available, one is a Level 3 EYFS position and the other is a Level 2 position to provide general assistance to pupils either in or outside the classroom. You will need to specify in your cover letter which role you wish to apply to. Both contracts on offer are fixed term until 31/08/2024 and full time posts (33.5 hours per week). The EYFS position requires a Level 3 TA qualification (the other post requires a Level 2 TA Qualification) and are looking for the successful candidates to commence employment as soon as onboarding processes are complete.

Key responsibilities: 

  • Select appropriate resources/methods to facilitate agreed learning activities, differentiating and adapting learning programmes to suit the needs of allocated pupils
  • Assist with the implementation of individual Education/Behaviour plans and Personal Care programs as agreed with the teacher
  • Support pupils in social and emotional well-being, reporting problems to the teacher as appropriate
  • Understand and support independent learning and inclusion of all pupils as required

Pay range:

  • Scale Points 5-7 - Actual Salary £18,713.65 - £19,345.93 (Full Time Equivalent £23,500 - £24,294)

 Qualifications and Skills: :

  • TA3 certificate or equivalent for the Level 3 role and TA2 certificate or equivalent for the Level 2 role.
  • Maths/English GCSEs grades A-C).
  • Demonstrable knowledge of how EYFS children learn and how to motivate them
  • Knowledge of speech and language
  • Demonstrable knowledge of strategies for spelling, reading and number skills
  • Resilience, patience, flexibility and willingness to adapt to the needs of different children as situations arise.
