• Working pattern: Part time: 30 hours per week, 39 weeks per annum
• Contract type: Permanent
• Full-time equivalent salary: Grade 5 SCP 12 – 17, £28,598 - £31,022 (This is the full-time salary. The actual salary will be paid pro rata to hours worked)

What skills and experience we're looking for

The successful candidate will have:

• NVQ 3 for Teaching Assistants or equivalent qualification or experience or willingness to work towards

• A recognised Early years qualification

• Literacy and Numeracy skills equivalent to Level 2 of the National Qualification & Credit Framework 

• Completion of Department for Education Teacher Assistant Induction Programme (or to complete within first term) 

• Awareness of the requirements of children with special needs

• Experience of working with learning resources and helping with their preparation to support learning programmes 

• Experience of working with or caring for children of a relevant age to those in the school (including 2-year-old provision)

• Communication skills to liaise sensitively and effectively with parents and carers 

• Basic understanding of a child’s development and learning.
