We are a small school team of 4 classes plus a wonderful growing outdoor nursery. We are looking for an enthusiastic and caring Teaching Assistant to join our supportive and talented team. We are part of a diverse multi-academy trust, looking for professional and ambitious people, with a passion for transforming our pupils’ learning.

As an EYFS Nursery Teaching Assistant, you play a crucial role in aiding students at the very beginning of their educational journey. Cultivating various strategies to meet each student's unique needs is essential.
We are looking for an EYFS Teaching Assistant - to assist in the educational, personal, and social development of children under the direction and guidance of relevant colleagues (e.g. the Headteacher, Early Years phase lead, SENCo and Class Teacher). This role will mainly be based in our outdoor nursery which has been growing and developing over the last few years.
Our ideal candidate will:
- Be qualified to an NVQ level 3 in Early Years Care & Education or an equivalent qualification as recognised by CACHE.
- Have a passion for working in the outdoors and using the natural environment to provide exciting learning experiences for our nursery children
Be passionate about working with Early Years children including SEN children and on a 1:1 basis when required
Be flexible, proactive and patient
Be able to communicate effectively within a team
Recognise the varying needs of individual learners and adjust tasks accordingly.
Contribute to our Church of England ethos.
Have a rich knowledge and understanding of the EYFS framework and how pupils learn
Be eager to expand their knowledge, skills and understanding of teaching practices
Have experience of setting up and managing groups of pupils during focused learning activities
Be able to secure high quality relationships with parents, carers and the wider community.
Bring creativity and enthusiasm to each and every new day.
The role would be term time from 8.30am - 3.30pm, two days per week (to be discussed), totaling 12.5 hours a week. This is a fixed term contract until 31st August 2026 subject to ongoing funding.
