What skills and experience we're looking for

St Barnabas MAT have a position for an EYFS Level 3 Teaching Assistant at Quethiock CofE Primary School.

This post is for 12 hours per week – 8.45am to 3:15pm with 30 minutes unpaid lunch break.

We are looking for an enthusiastic EYFS Teaching Assistant qualified to Level 3 who will truly make a difference in children's lives. If you want a fulfilling job, with a variety of challenges, which you can meet head-on with a great sense of humour and a passion for working with children, then this is the job you have been looking for.

The successful candidate will be expected to:

  • have attained Maths and English at GCSE level at grade C or above/equivalent

  • Qualified EYFS Level 3 or above

  • have experience of working with groups of children in an EYFS setting

  • support children in developing academic and social skills

  • be able to respond to the children's learning styles and adapt learning accordingly

  • work as part of a team within the classroom and on their own initiative

  • be able to communicate effectively with children, parents and other professionals

  • support the teacher in carrying out assessments of children’s progress

  • support the teacher in delivering the curriculum.

  • be able to support the Christian ethos
