What skills and experience we're looking for

Sikh Academies Trust are looking to appoint an EYFS (Nursery) Teacher to join Khalsa Primary School.

Khalsa Primary School is a two-form entry, successful, popular and thriving Sikh Faith school. It is an outstanding school with high standards of achievement.

The successful candidate will be;

- Qualified teacher with relevant EYFS qualifications (e.g. QTS, EYTS, or Level 3 in Childcare)

- Strong understanding of the EYFS framework and child development.

- Ability to plan, deliver, and assess engaging age-appropriate learning experiences.

- Warm, nurturing, and patient demeanour with a genuine passion for early childhood education.

- Skilled in promoting personal, social, emotional, and language development.

- Ability to create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment.

- Experience with observations, record-keeping, and progress tracking using EYFS profiles or similar tools.

- Strong classroom management and behaviour support skills suitable for young learners.

- Excellent communication skills with children, staff, and parents.

- Willingness to work as part of a collaborative team and contribute to wider school life.

- Up-to-date knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures.

- Enthusiastic, creative, and adaptable approach to teaching and learning.
