Job summary

We are seeking to appoint an innovative, passionate and well-qualified EYFS Teacher to join us in Reception. This is a unique opportunity for a talented and ambitious professional to join our team. We are looking for an inspirational teacher with the ability to encourage our nurturing learning environment.
Term time, Part-time, 2.5 days per week
Fixed term until August 2020 (to be reviewed, with a possibility of change to a long term permanent position)
The successful candidates will:
• Have a proven record of excellent classroom practice
• Have high expectations of children’s achievement and behaviour
• Be dedicated to school improvement

Essential educational requirements

Honours degree or equivalent in relevant subject

Essential qualifications

Qualified Teacher Status

Essential skills and experience

Proven EYFS teaching experience/teaching practice
An understanding & demonstration of barriers to learning & how those may be overcome
Experience of managing pupil performance & intervention strategies to raise performance
Experience of safeguarding & additional educational needs
Knowledge & understanding of the EYFS framework & assessment framework
Ability to communicate effectively with a range of internal & external stakeholders
Excellent literacy, numeracy and IT skills
Excellent & enthusiastic classroom teaching & effective monitoring of pupils’ progress
Evidence of good planning & organisational skills
Ability to translate policy into practice & an understanding of the implications of the EYFS framework
Understanding of & sympathy with children and their individual needs
In line with the Immigration Act 2016; you should be able to demonstrate fluency of the English Language at an Advanced Threshold Level.
