What skills and experience we're looking for
We are looking for a skilled EYFS teacher to cover maternity in our nursery setting. You may be a skilled teacher with a passion for early childhood education or more recently qualified and looking to develop your experience in a supportive school environment.
The successful candidate will ensure that our youngest pupils are cared for in a happy, safe and stimulating environment. We have great facilities and are committed to delivering a creative, engaging curriculum.
Ideally you will:
- Have experience of teaching in Nursery or Reception and demonstrate excellent classroom practice.
- Understand and value the importance of carefully planned continuous provision in the early years.
- Have both the drive and commitment to expect the best from our pupils.
- Have the skills to build strong, supportive relationships with children that are built on mutual understanding and respect.
- Have consistently high expectations of learning and behaviour.
- Be committed to engaging in the whole life of our school.
- Be hard working, flexible and a good communicator – especially with parents and carers.
- Be ambitious for pupils with SEND, and understand the barriers they may face.
- Be keen to be part of a team, prepared to constantly review your practice and always be striving for excellence.
