About us and the role

Are you passionate about supporting young children in their early development and education?

We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Teaching Assistant to join our team and play a key role in creating a nurturing and stimulating learning environment.

In this role, you will work closely with the class teacher to support children’s learning through play-based activities, helping them to develop essential skills, confidence, and independence. You will assist in delivering engaging lessons, ensuring all pupils feel valued and included, and contribute to their social and emotional well-being.

If you have a genuine love for working with young children, a commitment to helping them achieve their full potential, and a desire to be part of a supportive and welcoming school community, we would love to hear from you!

What will you do?

  • Act as a role model for pupils, support their learning effectively
  • Meet personal needs while promoting independence
  • Commit to supporting pupils with special educational needs and contribute to Individual Learning Plans (ILPs)
  • Encourage pupil interaction and cooperation, ensuring engagement in activities
  • Support emotional and social needs and accompany pupils on trips

What are we looking for?

  • Experience of working with relevant age group within a learning environment
  • An understanding of classroom roles and responsibilities
  • Ability to understand the role of parents and carers, with the ability to relate and build excellent working relationships
  • Ability to observe, monitor and provide constructive feedback on pupils progress
  • Promote and safeguard the welfare of children and young people within the school
