EYFS TEACHING ASSISTANT

Fixed term contract until August 31st 2026

Grade 3.4 £13.05 per hour £25,185 pro rata to Grade 3.6 £13.47 per hour £25,989 for 39 weeks

To commence: Monday 3rd November 2025

28.75 hours per week, term time plus 1 week initially

Monday to Friday 8.45am - 12.15pm 1.15pm - 3.30pm

Lunchtime duty - half an hour Grade 2.2 £12.65 per hour pro rata (claimed as additional hours)

We are looking to appoint a highly motivated, dedicated, enthusiastic and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our Saplings Early Years Centre. We have a wonderful learning environment and enthusiastic, happy and motivated children who enjoy learning and behave well.

You should:

  • have experience of working in the Early Years

  • have a DFE approved Early Years qualification

  • be highly committed to providing children with the best possible learning opportunities

  • Be a good classroom practitioner with experience of working within the Early Years Foundation Stage.

  • Have a good understanding of monitoring children’s progress and provide detailed next steps in learning.

  • Have high expectations and aspirations for all children.

  • Be able to plan and deliver bespoke child centred intervention.

  • Develop high quality teaching and learning for pupils of all abilities

  • Be able to work well as a member of both the Early Years and whole school team.

  • Have a clear understanding of the teaching of phonics and a willingness to plan for and lead groups

  • Demonstrate initiative

  • Have boundless enthusiasm with a keen sense of humour!
