EYFS Teaching Assistant job summary

We are seeking to appoint a kind, enthusiastic and caring individual to join our outstanding Nursery team for the summer term. We are looking for someone who:

✔ Maintains high expectations for every child, supporting them to thrive, grow and achieve their very best

The role would involve:

  • Supporting the Nursery team in creating a nurturing, stimulating and safe environment
  • Helping children with their learning through play, exploration and guided activities
  • Building positive relationships with children, staff and families
  • Assisting with daily routines such as setting up the environment and re-setting resources
  • Encouraging independence and assisting children with their self-care

This fixed-term position is a wonderful opportunity to support our youngest learners during one of the most joyful and formative stages of their school journey. The successful candidate must hold a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or higher. Days: Every morning (Monday to Friday)
Hours: 16.25 hours per week, term time only (8:45am to 11:30am) until 17th July 2026
Contract: Fixed-term (one term)
Salary: FTE £25,583 (actual salary £11,107)
Start date: Monday 13th April (or earlier if possible)
