Magdalen Academy is a rural school which works alongside Wimbotsham and Stow Academy and St Germans Academy under the leadership of a joint head teacher who is committed to the education of the whole child. We are looking forward to our KS2 SEMH SRB opening at Magdalen in September 2026.
At Magdalen, you will find a warm and friendly atmosphere, with a purposeful learning environment, including a sensory room and circuits trail, a well-stocked school library and excellent outside space. We aim to provide happy and supportive surroundings for the children in our care and have in place a wide range of learning experiences to ensure the full growth and development of the child - physically, intellectually, socially, and morally.
Our school has continued to go from strength to strength since our GOOD Ofsted Inspection in May 2024 and this is a great opportunity to join our team. We are looking for a teacher to join our team in our EYFS/ Year 1 class. You will have the support of two teaching assistants with the mix of Preschool to Year 1. Each member of staff takes an active role in leading the whole school’s development and offers excellent opportunities for personal and professional development.
Are you:
- Passionate about teaching, learning and inclusion.
- Flexible in your approach to contributing to a strong team.
- Knowledgeable about Early Years, Key Stage 1 and phonics
- Plan and provide purposeful provision for our learners from Preschool to Year 1
- Keen to capitalise on the advantages of three small schools working in partnership.
- Able to demonstrate high expectations of pupil achievement regardless of background.
Also
- Able to offer subject leadership.
- Keen to make the most of our creative curriculum and learning outdoors.
- Interested in career progression.
If so, we would love to hear from you.
