What skills and experience we're looking for

Qualification

Essential

Five GCSEs (Grades A*-C or 1-5) Additional vocational related employment and/or training

Desirable

A degree or HND equivalent in a related area such as: arts administration arts management business studies or management drama or theatre studies. arts in the community creative or performing arts

Experience

Essential

A minimum of three years experience of working in event management, including sound and lighting production. Managing sound and lighting production

Desirable

Event management experience in a theatre or performing arts venue. Working or worked in a school setting

Knowledge and Skills

Essential

Computer literate and excellent communication skills including working with bookings systems/portals and liaison with a wide range of stakeholders. To be commercially minded, proactive and entrepreneurial in approach to lettings and commercial activities. To be detail oriented and rigorous in your approach to ensure that delivery and facilitation of facility hires and events satisfies all requirements. Understanding of health & safety legislation to ensure working methods comply with regulations and recognised good practice Audio and visual technical knowledge.

Awareness of Safeguarding and Child Protection policies and procedures

Personal Competences and Qualities

Excellent organisational skills that ensure deadlines are met and work programmes are managed appropriately. Able to use Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Publisher or equivalent software packages Self-motivated and excellent at working with a wide range of internal and external personnel

A team player Evidence of good attendance at work Able to deal sensitively and appropriately with confidential information Able to work across multiple sites The ability to work flexibly to meet the needs of the role and the organisation. Must be able to perform all duties with reasonable adjustment in accordance with the provisions of the Disability Discriminations Act 1995
