Faculty Leader for Maths job summary
- Implement and deliver an appropriately broad, balanced, relevant, and differentiated maths curriculum for pupils.
- Support the development and improvement of teaching and learning within the maths department.
- Monitor and support the overall progress and development of pupils, both as a subject teacher and form tutor.
- Facilitate and encourage a learning experience that enables pupils to achieve the highest standards.
- Share and support the Trust’s responsibility to provide and monitor opportunities for pupils’ academic and personal growth.
- Be a qualified teacher with a strong background in mathematics education.
- Demonstrate a passion for teaching and learning, with a commitment to raising achievement.
- Have experience in curriculum planning and delivery, with the ability to lead and inspire others.
- Be confident in using data to inform teaching strategies and interventions.
- Be committed to the wider life of the school and the development of pupils beyond the classroom.

The City of Peterborough Academy was opened in September 2013 by Greenwood Academies Trust (GAT) after a £13.8m capital build. Based on Reeves Way in Peterborough, the academy has quickly grown from strength to strength. A dedicated team of staff aim to help support every child in reaching their full potential.
