Family Learning Mentor job summary
Working across both Tenbury CE and Burford CE School.
Are you passionate about making a real difference to the lives of children and families? We are seeking a motivated, positive, and compassionate Family Learning Mentor to join our team! This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is a strong listener, has high expectations for all children, and is committed to helping families overcome barriers to learning and wellbeing.

You will work as part of a supportive team of Family Learning Mentors across the Trust. Collaboration is central to this role, working closely with school staff, families, and external agencies to ensure children are fully supported to thrive, achieve, and belong.
The successful candidate will:
- Share our vision to enable every child to thrive and feel a sense of belonging.
- Demonstrate commitment and care in supporting children and families every day.
- Have the ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently using their own initiative.
- Be able to set up, signpost, and deliver family support and interventions.
- Build positive relationships with children, families, and professionals.
- Show integrity, flexibility, resilience, and professionalism in all aspects of the role.
The post involves working directly with children and families within the school setting on a term-time only basis, Monday-Friday. Flexibility may occasionally be required to start earlier or finish later to meet the needs of families and the school community.
