Family Liaison Officer
Position- Part Time/Permanent
Pay Scale G £28,770 to £32,076 Pro Rata
Required for - 35 hours per week, 39 weeks per year
This is a new post for Chesterton Primary and we are currently looking for the right person to develop and grow the role.
We are a family of primary, secondary and special schools based across Suffolk and Cambridgeshire. The role will include:-
Safeguarding (reporting, monitoring, attending meetings, referrals, supporting families, lead Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL))
Attendance Monitoring and Reporting
SEND support
School Office Administration Support
Lead First Aider
You will have experience of:
Working with children and families with social and emotional difficulties by offering individual strategies to address the issues
Successfully carrying out pastoral support interventions and programmes
Have excellent communication skills
Be able to work individually and as part of a team
Have experience of liaising with Social Care and other support agencies.
Have experience in referring families/children to relevant support agencies (non essential as training will be provided)
Have experience of Designated Safeguarding Lead role (non essential as training will be provided)
being confidential and professional
Qualifications
Successful completion of DBS forms and satisfactory clearance being received.
Successful completion of school Induction Training for Family Liaison Officer
Be able to demonstrate a reasonable standard of education with proficiency in literacy and numeracy to GCSE level or equivalent.
A relevant qualification such as NVQ Level 3 or higher or a minimum three years’ relevant satisfactory experience as a Family Liaison Officer or similar demonstrating the relevant skill level.
