Salary: Grade F Point 9 – 13 (£22,892 - £24,413)
Permanent – Term time only

We have an exciting opportunity for a well-qualified and highly effective person to engage with our families. You will be part of an excellent pastoral team that is passionate about raising school attendance. The Family Liaison Officer will also work collaboratively with external services with the focus around engaging families to improve young people’s attendance and life chances.
This role will include a drive towards improving the attendance of persistently absent students. The successful candidate will analyse attendance patterns and take a lead on producing attendance plans and carrying out home visits to support young people back into school.
The school offers all employees training and support, peer mentoring, personal development (middle leadership / lead practitioner training where appropriate) and the chance to develop skills further by supporting extra-curricular activities.
Sherburn High School is a friendly, top performing and innovative school set in an attractive position in the North Yorkshire rural village of Sherburn in Elmet, which is only 10 minutes from the A1(M) hence making it easily and quickly accessible from Leeds, York, Doncaster, Bradford, Pontefract and the surrounding areas.
