Family Support Worker job summary

Grade 8 £28,797 to £30,708 per annum pro rata

10.00 hours per week, 42 weeks per year

Temporary contract until 31 August 2025 in the first instance

This role supports the engagement and well-being of children and young people at home and in school to enable them to reach their full potential. The role will be based at Lady Manners School but will include working with our partner Primary Schools and their pupils/families so the ability to travel is essential.

You will work closely with school staff, partner agencies, children/young people and their families to develop action plans which tackle identified need and achieve lasting change. You will work with families to assess reasons impacting on attendance and facilitate their return or access to regular full-time education provision. The role will also involve undertaking Early Help assessments and acting as the Lead Professional where necessary. You will be fully supported by our experienced Student and Family Support Manager. Actual Salary £7,209 to £7,688 per annum.
