We are recruiting a Family Support Worker to support the emotional and social wellbeing of our pupils. We are looking for someone who can build trusting relationships with both parents and pupils to help engage them with their education. You will be part of a team that supports our most vulnerable pupils both in and out of the classroom. You will work closely with teachers to oversee academic progress, monitor behaviour and attendance and help pupils with particular challenges that create barriers to their learning and wellbeing.
The successful applicant will have experience working with families, vulnerable people or children, supporting them with social, emotional, and mental health needs. A knowledge and understanding of local resources and community and statutory services, including Mental Health Teams, Social Services, Health, CAMHS, and school and voluntary services would be useful.
You will work within our thriving Exeter school community, a wonderful and inclusive group of schools who work closely together to meet the needs of our children. The schools are part of the St Christopher’s Trust - a family of 21 Church and Community Schools spanning three local authorities and providing a rich network of collaboration. The Trust will build a package of exceptional continuous professional development, with clear support networks within each school and across the hub, to ensure that the appointed candidate loves coming to work each day!
Visits to the school are encouraged; please contact the school on 01392 349141 if you wish to make arrangements in early January 2026.
