Somerlea Park Junior School and Somercotes Infant School are looking for a dedicated and compassionate professional to support families, champion safeguarding, and lead attendance strategies across two warm and inclusive school communities.

Somerlea Park Junior School and Somercotes Infant School are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Family Support Worker to join our committed pastoral team.
In this vital role, you will work closely with Headteachers at both schools, serving as a Deputy Safeguarding Lead and taking the lead on improving attendance. You’ll be the bridge between home and school, supporting families, liaising with parents, and ensuring every child is safe, supported, and ready to thrive.
Your key responsibilities will include:
* Acting as Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead across both schools
* Leading on attendance strategies, supporting children and families to overcome barriers to regular school attendance
* Building trusting, supportive relationships with families and working closely with our experienced pastoral team
* Collaborating with school staff, external agencies and parents to ensure the wellbeing and safety of all pupils
