Are you ready for your next step on your journey of senior leadership? Carlisle & Hampton Hill Federation are seeking to appoint an exceptional and caring leader as our Head of School. This position provides the opportunity to work in partnership with our newly appointed Federation Headteacher. Following successful Ofsted’s at both schools, this is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of our Federation.
Main Purpose of the Role:
- To work in partnership with the Federation Headteacher and Head of School based at Carlisle, in leading and managing two effective schools within the Carlisle & Hampton Hill Federation (CHHF).• To lead on strategic Inclusion development and operational delivery across the federation.• Work with the federation headteacher to ensure the safeguarding of all children and staff.
Our ideal candidate:
- Has significant leadership experience, preferably as a Head of School, Deputy Headteacher, Headteacher or Assistant Headteacher
- Has excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills
- A passion for education and a commitment to empowering pupils to reach their full potential.
- Will bring warmth and a clear vision for the future providing stability and direction
- Has an inspirational and inclusive leadership style which will empower and motivate others
- Is committed to our inclusive approach which celebrates diversity• Has very high expectations of behaviour and is passionate about supporting the wellbeing and mental health of all
- Will be able to further develop our collaborative approach, leading and managing a large team of teaching and support staff across the Federation.
- Can maintain and strengthen our current links with parents and the wider community• Will oversee the smooth day-to-day running of the school, ensuring efficient and effective management of resources.
- Ensure the safety and welfare of all pupils, promoting a secure and nurturing school environment that celebrates diversity, inclusion and equality.
Safeguarding Statement:
At Carlisle and Hampton Hill Federation we take the safeguarding of children extremely seriously. All applications will be thoroughly scrutinised and we will do everything in our power to prevent unsuitable adults from working with our children. All selection processes at our school are designed to identify and reject anyone who is unsuitable for work with children. At least one member of our selection panel will have attended a safer recruitment training course and gained certification. All staff working at Carlisle will be subject to an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check before taking up post. There is a culture of ongoing vigilance that ensures children are safe and secure with the adults they come into contact with at all times. References will be sought and checked and all staff are fully aware of the actions they should take if they have any concerns about the behaviour of a fellow staff member towards children.

The closing date for receipt of completed application forms is Thursday 16th May 12.00 noon with shortlisting the same day. We will notify shortlisted applicants on Friday 17th May. Interviews will be held on Wednesday 22nd May.
