About our Team
Our role is to support all aspects of finance management across our 14 Red Kite Learning Trust schools. Made up of twelve experienced finance professionals, we are a friendly team who work collaboratively, sharing knowledge and expertise to deliver the very best service to our schools. Our finance team plays a crucial role in supporting our schools, helping to improve financial health and sustainability. Managing the financial operations of a multi-academy trust can be complex, and we are proud to continually adapt and evolve our processes to meet the needs of our schools and central departments.
About our Apprenticeship
As our apprentice, you will gain comprehensive experience across our full range of financial services, rotating through various areas of the team. You will work alongside skilled and knowledgeable colleagues to learn about budgeting, financial management, financial reporting, compliance, purchasing, and procurement. This hands-on experience will support you through every stage of your apprenticeship.
This apprenticeship offers a fantastic opportunity to progress through a Level 3 qualification (and then Level 4 if you wish!) while developing a wide range of skills and gaining specialised knowledge of multi-academy trust finance. Start your journey toward a career in finance.

About You
To be a good fit for this role, you will:
- Be curious and eager to learn with a committed to managing your own development
- Be able to work well with a collaborative approach and offer a positive contribution to the wider team
- Be keen to learn and take responsibility for a range of finance support services for our schools including BACS payment runs, purchase order and invoice management
- Be a confident communicator with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
