Finance Assistant job summary

We have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Assistant to join us and be a part of our highly valued, hard working and friendly Admin Team from June 2026.

The role is for 20 hours per week 39 weeks per year

The hours are to be worked over 5 days 9am - 1pm or over 4 days 9am - 2pm Mondays and Fridays are required working days for this role.

Castle Hill Infant and Junior Schools are established schools based in Ipswich. We are two schools, working as one. We are part of a thriving multi-academy trust, ASSET Education.

The person that we are looking for needs to meet the following criteria:


Have experience of working in a financial role preferably within a school.


Be organised and have time management skills.


Pay attention to detail, with an ability to spot numerical errors.


Be versatile and enthusiastic with excellent communication skills.


Be reliable with a calm and strategic approach to problem solving.


Have the ability to work under pressure.


Be a competent user of Google Drive, using Google Docs; creating letters, Google Sheets and Data collection


Be able to work on their own initiative as well as part of a team.
