Our Opportunity

We are looking to appoint an astute and highly motivated Finance Assistant to join our central finance team who provide a full range of finance and budget management support to our schools.

This role will include a range of finance administrative tasks including the processing of purchase ledger, sales ledger and cash book transactions.

You will:

Have a minimum of 5 GCSE’s (or equivalent) including Maths and English. An NVQ with finance or AAT level qualification or experience within the finance sector at this level or above is desirable.

Support the Finance Officer/Trust Financial Services Manager (TFSM) in the day to day operations of the department including the processing of purchase ledger, sales ledger and cashbook transactions

Advise other staff across the Trust on financial policies and procedures

Ensure all relevant finance paperwork is completed and returned by deadlines.

Assist in the production of financial reports for the TFSM, detailing issues and recommendations

Support the Finance Officer to complete all Year End close down paperwork by the required deadlines.

Support the Finance Officer in preparing for Audit inspections

Undertake administrative duties as required

The Trust Central Team
