What skills and experience we're looking for

The successful candidate will:

  • Ideally have experience of working within a school admin role
  • Have a knowledge and understanding of the principles and practices of finance, and experience of working in a financial environment
  • Have experience of using financial systems such as FMS
  • Be able to take phone calls with a professional manner
  • Have good IT skills, including knowledge of using MS Office
  • Have good communication skills with staff, parents and pupils

Further details about the role

  • You will provide both financial and HR administrative support as part of the school office team.
  • Your main day-to-day activities will include arranging payments of invoices, raising purchase orders, organising bookings of school trips and managing online parent payments for items such as school dinners and trips. The role will involve some HR administration, such as keeping the school's Single Central System up to date and processing DBS applications.
  • You will also support with general admin tasks as part of the office team, such as answering the phone and dealing with parent enquiries
  • This is a full-time role and you would be required to work Monday-Friday 8:00am-3:30pm, term time only. This is a fixed term contract for 12 months starting 1st January 2025.
