Finance Officer job summary
As a Finance Assistant at the school, you will play a key role in supporting our financial and administrative operations, helping to ensure the smooth running of daily processes. Join our dedicated team and contribute to our continued journey of excellence and school improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process and maintain accurate financial records, including cash handling, school meals, and unofficial school funds
- Raise orders, manage payments, and oversee school uniform sales and storage
- Maintain records of free school meal entitlement and dietary requirements
- Support financial reporting and liaise with the Local Authority finance section
- Ensure compliance with school financial procedures and maintain an audit trail
Qualifications and Experience:
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
- Previous experience in finance or administrative roles is desirable
