Reporting to the Finance Transactions Team Manager, the Finance Officer plays an important role in supporting the delivery of accurate, efficient and compliant finance services across the Foundation. Working as part of a collaborative shared services team, you will be responsible for processing a wide range of financial transactions and maintaining high‑quality financial records that support effective decision‑making.
This is a varied and hands‑on role, covering accounts payable and receivable, reconciliations and financial administration. You will process purchase orders, invoices, income and payments, ensuring accuracy and adherence to financial policies and controls, while providing responsive support to colleagues across the Foundation.
You will also contribute to financial reporting and reconciliation activities, assisting with budget monitoring, preparing reports and supporting internal and external audits. Accuracy, attention to detail and a strong understanding of finance processes are essential, as is the ability to manage competing deadlines within a fast‑paced environment.
Working closely with colleagues in Finance and across our academies, you will build positive working relationships, respond to queries and help ensure finance systems and data are maintained to a high standard. There will also be opportunities to contribute to service improvements, identifying ways to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.
This role would suit an experienced Finance Assistant or Finance Officer who enjoys working with data, systems and processes, and who takes pride in delivering a high‑quality, customer‑focused service. We are also keen to hear from candidates who are looking to further develop their finance skills and experience within a supportive, values‑driven organisation.
