First Aider (part time and term time only) job summary

30 hours per week, term time only (8am to 4pm daily, 4 days a week, with some flexibility in working hours for the right candidate)

FTE £27,779 to £30,564 / £19,318 to £21,254 (actual salary)

The role involves:

  • Assessing staff and students’ medical needs and administering first aid where required
  • The efficient daily recording and monitoring of students accessing first aid support and keeping appropriate databases up-to-date
  • Checking, ordering and storing supplies when received, adhering to Health and Safety
  • General first aid administration tasks

The role requires someone highly organised, with strong administrative skills and with a flexible approach and the ability to prioritise. The ability to remain calm under pressure and to deal with matters of a highly confidential nature is essential.

An in-date 3 day first aid qualification or willingness to renew an expired first aid at work qualification would be a requirement of the role.

A knowledge and understanding of the education sector or experience of working within a school environment or with young people and particularly with child protection or safeguarding issues would be desirable.
