What the school offers its staff
The governors of Brough School are looking to appoint an EYFS/KS1 teacher to join our lovely and thriving village school, to cover a period of maternity leave. The post is in our fabulous Acorns Class, comprising Reception and Year 1 pupils. Please have a look at our website to get a feel for the school: www.broughschool.org .
Brough Community Primary School is a thriving, successful school with a great team of staff. We are rated ‘Good in all areas’ by Ofsted (2019) and are national leaders in online learning. Our curriculum offer celebrates our local environment and we are a passionate Eco-School. We have an outstanding outdoor area as part of our Early Years provision and have recently upgraded the classroom space and resources in Acorns Class. It is a fabulous place to teach and work!
We would be happy to consider a job-share arrangement for this post. We would also be keen to support the appointed candidate with transition into the role, with a handover from our current skilled member of the teaching team in Acorns Class.
This is an exciting opportunity for any teacher seeking to work in a progressive, caring school which is at the heart of its community.
Flexible working opportunities
Teaching staff at Brough School have the option to take planning, preparation and assessment (PPA) time remotely. We do however have a bespoke PPA space for staff.
The school actively promotes the use of technology and through the adoption of things like a cloud-based filing system and the encouragement of blended learning opportunities for pupils, we have work hard to maintain a good work-life balance for staff.
