What skills and experience we're looking for

Alphington Primary School is looking to appoint a teacher to start on 1st September 2024 to cover a maternity leave.

The position is FTE 1.0 & will be KS1.

(We also have a second maternity fixed term for position for 0.8 KS2 so please ensure you state which you are applying for on the application form)

We are looking to appoint an exceptional candidate who:

  • Is committed to ensuring that all children achieve the highest possible outcomes.
  • Can inspire and motivate children and enable them to be the best that they can be.
  • Has good curriculum knowledge with experience of teaching key stage one for the full time post.
  • Has a dedication towards a child-centred approach, with creative ideas for learning opportunities.
  • Have a secure knowledge and understanding of how children learn and become highly independent and resourceful.
  • Has energy, enthusiasm and a sense of humour.
  • A determination to make learning fun, creative and exciting.
  • Has a desire for excellence for themselves and the children they work with.
  • A passion and ability to inspire.
