Are you passionate about supporting students in developing their practical skills in food and textiles? The Cooper School is seeking a Food and Textiles Technician to join our vibrant and busy Design and Technology Department.
About the Role:As a Food and Textiles Technician, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of practical lessons, supporting both staff and students in their creative and technical learning. Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing materials and ingredients for food and textiles lessons.
- Maintaining and organising equipment, ensuring health and safety standards are met.
- Supporting teachers and students during practical sessions.
- Assisting with stock control and ordering supplies.
- Helping to create a stimulating and well-organised learning environment.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience or a strong interest in food preparation and textiles.
- Is well-organised and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Understands the importance of health and safety in a school setting.
- Has good communication skills and enjoys working with young people.
- Is proactive and willing to learn.
