The GORSE Academies Trust is seeking to recruit a talented, enthusiastic and fluent French speaker to join our growing Modern Foreign Languages provision as a Foreign Language Instructor.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in developing students’ confidence in spoken French, supporting them to become effective communicators and deepening their understanding of language and culture.

Working across the Trust, you will support students in lessons, deliver targeted speaking practice and help bring languages to life through authentic materials, cultural insight and engaging interactions.

About the role

As a Foreign Language Instructor, you will:

  • Work closely with teachers and curriculum leaders to support high-quality language learning.
  • Deliver small group and individual speaking sessions, helping students develop fluency and confidence.
  • Assist teachers with classroom curriculum delivery.
  • Assist in the planning and delivery of classroom learning activities.
  • Prepare and use engaging, up-to-date and authentic materials to enhance learning.
  • Support students in preparing for GCSE and A Level speaking assessments.
  • Contribute to the development of resources across the Trust.
  • Play an active role in enrichment activities, including clubs, revision sessions and cultural opportunities

  • Is a fluent or native French speaker with excellent communication skills.
  • Can build positive relationships with young people, motivating and engaging them.
  • Has the ability to support language learning within a cultural context, bringing the subject to life.
  • Is organised, flexible and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Has a genuine passion for education and making a difference
