An exciting opportunity has become available at Babington Academy to join the team as our new Forest Schools Teacher/Leader. Forest School Teachers and Leaders at Babington Academy are responsible for planning, preparing, and delivering a range of engaging and enriching outdoor learning experiences for learners. This role is crucial in promoting the school's vision and values, which emphasise the importance of holistic development, environmental awareness, and nurturing the diverse needs of the learner community. The appointed person will work collaboratively with teaching staff to ensure that the outdoor learning sessions complement and enhance the school's curriculum, while also fostering a love for nature and the natural environment.

The successful candidate will have:

• Previous and relevant experience working within a similar setting

• Extensive knowledge and experience in delivering high-quality outdoor learning sessions, with a strong understanding of the Forest Schools approach

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with teaching staff, learners, and other stakeholders

• Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to plan and prepare sessions thoroughly

• Forest Schools qualification (desirable but not essential)
