The Gateway Primary Free School is part of the Gateway Learning Community [GLC] which is a partnership of one secondary academy and four primary academies located within Tilbury and Chadwell St Mary in the borough of Thurrock, to the east of London. The Gateway Primary Free School is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Assistant Head of School to join our leadership team. This is a pivotal role designed for a professional who is passionate about ensuring outstanding student outcomes through exemplary teaching and learning.
As a key member of the Leadership Team, you will drive the strategic direction of the school. We believe in playing to our staff's strengths; therefore, specific leadership portfolios will be negotiated based on your unique experience and professional ambitions.
You will work closely with the Head of School and Deputy Head of School to foster an environment where both students and staff thrive.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Contribute to school self-evaluation (SEF) and the implementation of robust school improvement plans.
- Quality of Education: Monitor the quality of teaching and learning across Years 1-6, utilizing data analysis to ensure high standards.
- Staff Development: Lead recruitment efforts, support the induction of new staff and trainees, and identify/lead CPD and Inset needs.
- Operational Excellence: Oversee student behavior, attendance, and punctuality, while managing resource expenditure effectively.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships and report to parents, carers, and governors to promote the school’s core values.
