General Class Teacher (SEND) job summary

MATERNITY COVER - ONE YEAR POST REQUIRED SEPTEMBER 2026

Our pupils with special needs and disabilities enjoy learning and would like outstanding teachers to support them to achieve success both within the school and in their community. The school has state of the art facilities and the support of experienced and friendly teaching assistants who work as a class team.

Experience of special needs is desirable. This post if suitable for teachers who would like to develop special school experience in their career.

Class Teachers (QTS status or educated to degree level and interested in gaining qualified teacher status (QTS) within 2 years or enrolled on a degree program with the intention to gain QTS within 2 years of finishing said degree)

All appointments are subject to satisfactory references and checks, (including an enhanced children and adults DBS check, On-line search in line with KSCIE ’25, Barred List Check 99, Prohibition from Teaching (128 check) and health checks). The school has an Induction programme and genuine ongoing commitment of staff professional development.
