General Kitchen Assistant job summary
Term-time only + Training Days. Monday & Wednesday 9.30am-2.30pm 10pw
We’re looking for a reliable and enthusiastic General Kitchen Assistant to join our friendly and hardworking catering team — led by one Catering Manager and supported by a dedicated team of 13 staff. Our catering team provides the best quality meals and snacks to our pupils and employees. We promote a healthy lifestyle and support everyone to get the most out of every day. As part of your role you’ll help prepare and serve fresh, healthy food, including in-house baked treats, while supporting a smooth and efficient lunchtime service. We promote a healthy lifestyle, celebrate cultural events through themed menus, and proudly hold a 5-star hygiene rating.

About You
To be a good fit for this role, you will:
- Be hardworking with good attention to detail.
- A compassionate and adaptable individual who demonstrates a strong commitment to meeting the needs of all pupils.
- Be able to work closely with the catering team to ensure smooth kitchen operations and service.
- Able to maintain high standards of cleanliness and food safety.
- Be experienced working in a kitchen or similar role.
