General Teaching Assistant (GTA) job summary

GTA 5 mornings and lunchtimes per week in Key Stage 1 / Year 2 (23.75 total hours)

Monday to Friday from 08:45 - 12:30 in the classroom, and then 12:30 - 13:30 supporting with lunchtime provision in Key Stage 1

Grade / Band: Grade C/D scale points 2-6 (actual pay £13,429 - £14,300)

Commencing: Monday 2nd February 2026

Contract type: Permanent, term time only

We are seeking to add to our wonderful team of support staff here at Oatlands Infants (part of Yorkshire Causeway Schools Trust) with a Level 3 GTA role. This would include optional overtime for after school and holiday clubs, as well as first refusal for overtime / teaching assistant supply cover in afternoons.
