Welcome to St Mary’s Primary School, Malton
I am very happy to welcome you to our school website. Our Mission Statement is reflected in the whole life of our school which is a worshipping community, nurturing the Faith of all those in our care. The spiritual, moral, emotional and social well-being of every child is a priority to us. We value the links between school, home and parish, recognising the shared responsibility we have in the all round development of all our children.
We believe that Christian life in a Catholic school celebrates God’s presence in our lives. It is about giving glory, honour, praise and thanks to God. Worship is an educational activity or experience to which all can contribute and from which all can gain.
At St Mary’s worship is more than just a legal requirement. It is an integral part of school life and central to the Catholic tradition. Collective worship takes into account the religious and educational needs of all who share in it: those who form part of the worshipping community in church; those for whom school may be their first and only experience of church; those from other Christian traditions (or none) and those from other faith backgrounds.
If you would like to find out more about our school, I extend a warm invitation to you and your family to come and see why St Mary’s Catholic Primary School is such a special place!
