What skills and experience we're looking for

We are seeking a Geography teacher to join our Humanities Faculty. Our ideal candidate will be passionate about Geography with the ability to inspire students and demonstrate excellent classroom management. The ability to teach Geography to KS4 and another Humanities subject to KS3 is essential.

The successful candidate should have excellent subject knowledge and a dynamic teaching style that engages students, they will work with the other members of the department to maintain a focus on progress, teaching and learning and raising achievement. It is also expected that they will enhance the extra-curricular activities offered.

We have a thriving Humanities faculty teaching a broad curriculum to include Citizenship, Government and Politics, and Law as well as History, Geography and Religious Studies.

We follow STPCD and support staff can join the LGPS. ECT’s follow an established induction programme while more experienced staff are able to join our leadership training programmes. Many among our teaching staff enrol in our school-based MA programme run in conjunction withSt Mary's University. The college is a member of PiXL.
