Governance and Compliance Director job summary
Mowbray Education Trust is seeking an experienced Governance and Compliance Director to lead our governance, compliance, and risk management strategy. Acting as Company Secretary, you will ensure the highest standards of regulatory oversight, statutory compliance, and corporate governance across the Trust.
This pivotal role includes:
- Developing and maintaining a robust governance framework.
- Leading compliance and risk management strategies.
- Overseeing GDPR and data protection.
- Advising the Trust Board and committees on governance and regulatory matters.
- Managing governance professionals and supporting Trustee development.
About You
You will have proven experience in governance and compliance at a senior level, ideally within education or the public sector. Strong knowledge of legal and regulatory frameworks, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to influence strategic decision-making are essential.
Mowbray Education Trust (MET) is a collaborative family of eight schools and a preschool setting, educating over 3,500 pupils and employing more than 550 staff across Leicestershire and Lincolnshire.
