The Governing Board is looking to appoint an organised and efficient Governance Professional; previous experience would be preferred but full training will be provided for the right candidate.

The successful candidate is expected to attend 9 governing body meetings per year, which are held in school at 5.30 pm on Tuesdays. The role will be term time only (38 weeks per year) for 114 hours spread across the year. There are 9 Governing Body meetings per year. 72 hours are allocated to these meetings, for preparation, attendance and producing minutes of the meeting, with a further 42 hours which can be carried out flexibly to support the administrative function of the Governing Body. The Governance Professional may be asked to take on additional paid work for meetings according to need.

We are looking for a person who is highly organised and self-motivated, can provide effective administrative support to the Governing Body, advice to the Board on governance, constitutional & procedural matters, who manages information confidentially in line with legal requirements, and is willing to attend training to ensure information and procedures are up to date.

You will be working with an excellent team of teachers, governors and support staff who are committed to making our pupils’ educational start the best it can be.

We are also recruiting for an administrator and attendance officer, and these roles could be combined for the right applicant.
