Graduate Teaching Assistant job summary
Harris Girls' Academy Bromley is currently looking to appoint an enthusiastic, dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our team of specialists.
Your opportunity
Are you a graduate looking to flourish in a teaching assistant role? We are seeking to appoint an individual who thrives on feedback and has a hunger to constantly learn and develop. Providing an open, friendly working environment for you to grow in, the role will include responsibilities including supporting student learning, undertaking playground duties, preparing resources and assisting the class teacher.
You will be expected to uphold the policies of the school and support the school ethos. As part of Harris, you will join a community of staff dedicated to transforming education in London. We are looking for:
An engaging person who is able to interest, encourage and motivate young people
A team worker, who is able to work effectively with people across a wide range of levels and responsibilities
A tactful and diplomatic person with the ability to maintain confidentiality
Qualifications to degree level or equivalent
Basic knowledge of SEND and learning barriers, and of some of the social issues facing students from disadvantaged backgrounds
Experience of working directly with young people in an education or training environment, ideally working in a similar role in a school
