Are you a graduate in Science or French/MFL looking to gain valuable experience in education? Are you passionate about helping young people achieve their potential and considering a future career in teaching?
Thornhill Academy is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Graduate Tutor to provide targeted academic support to students through small-group and one-to-one intervention sessions. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills, gain classroom experience and make a real difference to students' progress and confidence.
About the Role
As a Graduate Tutor, you will:
- Deliver engaging intervention sessions in French or Science
- Support students to close learning gaps and improve outcomes
- Work with both secondary students and local primary schools
- Monitor and track student progress
- Work closely with teachers and curriculum leaders
- Help create a positive, inclusive and supportive learning environment
What We're Looking For
We are seeking someone who:
- Holds, or is currently studying towards, a degree in Science or French/MFL
- Has GCSE English and Maths at Grade 4/C or above
- Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Is organised, reliable and enthusiastic
- Is passionate about supporting young people to succeed
- Has an interest in pursuing a career in education or teaching
