Part-Time Handyman Vacancy

We are seeking a reliable and practical Part-Time Handyman to join our team, working conveniently outside of school hours. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for flexible, term-time work.

Position Details:

  • Role: Part-Time Handyman - 15 hours per week

  • Working Hours: Outside of school hours, which are 9am until 2.15pm. Actual hours can be decided by successful candidate

  • Contract: 38 weeks per year (term-time only)

  • Salary: Grade 2 - £24,796 FTE (pro rata for part-time hours)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carrying out general maintenance and repair tasks

  • Ensuring the premises and grounds are safe, secure, and well-maintained

  • Performing basic DIY tasks including minor plumbing, painting, and carpentry

  • Reporting and addressing any maintenance issues promptly

  • Supporting health and safety requirements across the site

About You:

  • Practical skills and experience in general maintenance or handyman work

  • Ability to work independently and use initiative

  • Reliable, punctual, and hardworking

  • Good awareness of health and safety practices

  • Friendly and approachable, with good communication skills
