Hours: Full time, 37 hours
Working pattern: Monday to Friday, 7am – 3pm (Flexibility can be discussed with hours, for example 6am-14pm can be accommodated)

Your role:
As the Head Groundsperson at Thomas Deacon Education Trust, you will oversee the care of all sports pitches, trees, gardens, paths, and drives across our sites. Your responsibilities will include managing a team, planning and executing maintenance schedules, and ensuring our grounds are safe and of the highest quality for all users. You will liaise with the sports department to ensure the proper setup and maintenance of sports surfaces, including cricket, football, rugby, and hockey fields.
To excel in this role, you will need extensive experience in grounds maintenance, strong leadership skills, and a deep understanding of horticultural practices. You should be proficient in using grounds maintenance equipment and have a keen eye for detail. A current driving license is essential. You must also be committed to health and safety standards and have excellent organisational and communication skills.
