Head of Academy job summary
The Vale Primary Academy are looking to appoint a dynamic, inspirational, hard-working Head of Academy to lead our school and to continue to drive forward our success, with effect from September 2020. You will be responsible for all aspects of the internal organisation, professional leadership, management and control of the school and for leading supervision over teaching and support staff in accordance with Instrument of Government.
Salary: Leadership scale points 12 - 16 (£53,855 - £59,527)
Hours: full time / permanent
The Vale Primary Academy caters for just over 250 boys and girls between the ages of three and 11. The school is situated on the boundary of Knottingley and Ferrybridge, three miles from Pontefract and four miles from Castleford. We have high expectations of all our children and learning takes place in a safe, exciting and purposeful way.
We are an outstanding team who strive to constantly improve our practice in an ego free environment. We believe that all staff should have the same opportunities for development, which is why we have open staff and SLT meetings; bespoke MERS; tailored coaching sessions for all staff and consistent support from both the Trust and local academies.
