Science at AGS continues to go from strength to strength:

The Role

As Head of Biology, you will:

  • Lead and develop the Biology curriculum across KS3-KS5

  • Drive outstanding teaching and learning

  • Use performance data strategically to secure excellent outcomes

  • Line manage and develop colleagues

  • Oversee departmental improvement planning and quality assurance

  • Contribute fully to whole-school priorities

  • Lead an exciting extra- and super-curricular programme

We are looking for someone who:

  • Holds QTS and a strong honours degree in a related subject

  • Can teach Biology to KS5 and Science across KS3/4

  • Is reflective, organised and inspirational

  • Is committed to safeguarding and inclusion

  • Is eager to play a full role in the wider life of the school
