What skills and experience we're looking for

A curriculum leader is dedicated, creative, inspiring, and energetic. They have a track record of success in leadership and curriculum development. They are aspirational for and inspirational to teachers and students alike and are ambitious and highly motivated to lead others. They will lead our Business and Economics Department to develop and improve the quality of curriculum, teaching, learning, pedagogy, and classroom practice.

They are a subject specialist, exceptional classroom practitioner, articulate, passionate and with a breadth and depth of knowledge encompassing all aspects of the KS4 and 5 curriculum. They have excellent classroom management skills and set high standards for behaviour and focus. They are a strong and influential presence amongst staff and students alike.

Our curriculum and outcomes within Business are strong, the successful candidate would be able to hit the ground running with superb support from leadership, yet be afforded the freedom to shape and contextualise the curriculum further to suit the needs of our specific cohort of learners.

How have we achieved our current strengths? Quite simply, we employ teachers who are as ambitious, passionate and dedicated as we are. These amazing people work hard to ensure that our pupils make the best progress they possibly can. Whether they are the most able or those requiring additional support, every child deserves nothing less than the very best teaching.

Not surprisingly, there’s a real buzz about our school. If you would like to be part of it – and teach children who genuinely want to learn – we would love to hear from you.
