Are you a passionate and experienced Business Studies teacher looking for an exciting leadership opportunity? John Flamsteed is seeking a dedicated Head of Business to lead our thriving department, inspire students, and drive excellence in Business education.
About the Role:
As Head of Business, you will be responsible for leading and developing the Business Studies GCSE, ensuring high-quality teaching and learning, and fostering a culture of success. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious teacher with leadership experience or someone looking to take the next step in their career.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead, manage, and develop the Business Studies department.
- Deliver outstanding lessons and inspire a love for Business.• Support and mentor staff within the department to enhance teaching and learning.
Develop and implement an engaging and ambitious curriculum.
Monitor student progress and implement strategies to raise achievement
Contribute to whole-school initiatives and leadership.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- A strong track record of successful Business teaching at KS4.
- Experience in curriculum planning and assessment.
- Leadership experience or a clear aspiration for leadership.
- A passion for Business education and student achievement.
- Excellent communication, organisation, and interpersonal skills
- The ability to offer a second subject at KS3
The successful candidate will have to meet the requirements of the person specification in order to be offered the post, will be required to undergo a full enhanced DBS check and must be eligible to work in the UK.
